Overview |
The 2009 Honda CR-V is a compact four-door five-passenger SUV that offers plenty of power, agile handling, elegant design and a bevy of features in its comfortable cabin. The Honda CR-V enters 2009 with minor changes. It comes in three trim levels – LX, EX and top-line EX-L. Maximum towing capacity of the 2009 CR-V is 1500 pounds. |
Power and Performance |
The 2009 CR-V is powered by a strong 2.4-liter, 16-valve DOHC i-VTEC 4-cylinder engine that generates 166 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque. A smooth-shifting five-speed automatic transmission featuring Grade Logic Control System is standard. A drive-by-wire throttle system is standard, while an optional real time four-wheel-drive configuration increases performance during adverse road situations. |
Body and Styling |
The 2009 CR-V comes with silky, sleek lines; sophisticated, aerodynamic shape; all-season tires; remote entry system; and 17-inch steel (alloy on EX trim) wheels on the exterior. The lightweight lift-up tailgate opens upward; the windshield wipers are flat-blade; wider rear door openings and lower step-in height that allow easy entry and exit are other significant features.
The interior of the 2009 CR-V features standard multi-information display; air conditioning with air filtration system; Maintenance Minder system; conversation mirror; steering wheel-mounted controls; 60/40 split rear seats; map lights; underseat storage bins; tilt and telescopic steering column; and 160-watt AM/FM/CD audio system with four speakers. The EX-L includes MP3/auxiliary input jack; XM Satellite Radio; and a 12-volt power outlet. Voice-activated Honda Satellite Linked Navigation System with rearview camera is optional on the EX-L version. Both EX and EX-L trims are equipped with one-touch power moonroof; and rear dual-deck cargo shelf. |
