Overview

The 2009 Honda Odyssey is a four-door seven-passenger minivan that offers a smooth ride and family-friendly features. The 2009 Honda Odyssey is offered in LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring trim levels. The Honda Odyssey remains largely unchanged for 2009. Significant changes include a new power tailgate and the addition of Bluetooth Hands Free Link to Navigation and DVD Rear Entertainment System on the EX-L model.

Power and Performance

The 2009 Honda Odyssey EX-L and Touring which are equipped with a 3.5-liter i-VTEC V6 engine and Variable Cylinder Management deliver 244-horsepower and 245 pound-feet of torque (a slight improvement on the previous 241 hp and 242 pound-feet of torque). The 2009 Odyssey LX and EX are powered by a VTEC V6 engine and retain the same rating as 2008 at 244 horsepower and 240 pound-feet of torque. A 5-speed automatic transmission is standard on the 2009 Odyssey. The 2009 Odyssey runs on unleaded fuel and qualifies for the CARB ULEV-2 emissions rating. Estimated fuel economy of the 2009 Honda Odyssey LX and EX is 16/23 mpg (City/Highway)* and that of the EX-L and Touring versions is 17/25 mpg (City/Highway)*. Maximum towing capacity of the 2009 Honda Odyssey is 3,500 pounds.
