Overview |
The Honda Ridgeline has been updated for 2009 with 50 vital changes and new standard features. The 2009 Ridgeline is an innovative four-door, five-passenger truck that gets a bolder look inside out and offers more power. The 2009 Ridgeline is offered in RT, RTS and RTL trim levels. |
Power and Performance |
All 2009 Ridgeline models are equipped with a high torque 250-horsepower, 3.5-liter, 24-valve VTEC V-6 engine. A five-speed automatic transmission and a Variable Torque Management Power four-wheel-drive system are standard.
Maximum towing capacity of the 2009 Ridgeline is 5,000 pounds and payload capacity is 1,550 pounds. |
Body and Styling |
The 2009 Ridgeline wears a contemporary and athletic appearance. The closed-box frame with unit-body design and integrated class III trailer hitch are standard on all 2009 Ridgeline models and enhance towing ability. Its short front and rear overhangs are incorporated with integrated bumpers. The large grille is linked to an expansive hood. Large side mirrors offer good rear vision during towing. Windshield wipers with heated wiper zone minimize ice scraping in wet driving conditions.
The 2009 Ridgeline RT comes with 17-inch steel wheels, while the RTS and the RTL upgrade to alloy wheels (18-inch on the RTL).
The interior of the 2009 Ridgeline is user-friendly with large multi-functional console; easy-to-access controls, 60/40 lift-up rear seats; flat rear floor; MP3/auxiliary input jack (RTS and RTL models); 115-volt power outlet (on RTL models); 100-watt AM/FM/CD audio system is standard on the RT; 160-watt AM/FM/CD audio system is standard on the RTS; and MP3/Windows Media Audio Playback Capability is standard on the RTL version.
The voice-activated Honda Satellite Linked Navigation System which includes XM Satellite Radio is optional on the RTL trim. |

The 2009 Ridgeline models come with latest safety technology that include vehicle stability assist; traction control; tire pressure monitoring system; daytime running lights; anti-lock braking system with brake assist and electronic brake distribution; active head restraints; two-row side curtain airbags with rollover sensor; advanced dual-stage, dual-threshold SRS airbags; front side airbags with passenger-side occupant position detection system; lower anchors and tethers for children; and three-point seatbelts at all seating positions. |
