Route 22 Honda 'Helps' 3 Community Non-Profits Through Facebook Campaign
Route 22 Honda donated to their first 'Honda Helps' charity winners on Facebook. The participating non-profits were Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless, Community FoodBank of New Jersey and the Boys & Girls Club of Union County.
Each one of the three non-profit organizations was presented a donation based on the number of votes it received on Route 22 Honda's Facebook page. The donation ceremony took place at 12pm on Wednesday, September 18th at their dealership located at 75 Route 22 West, Hillside, New Jersey 07205.
Elizabeth Coalition to House the Homeless was awarded the grand prize of $1,500. The organization ensures that homeless Union County individuals and families can obtain safe, sanitary and adequate temporary or emergency shelter.
Community FoodBank of New Jersey came in second place and received $750. They're dedicated to providing food, help, and hope to almost 1 million people every year throughout NJ.
Boys & Girls Club of Union County came in third and got $500. They enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
Eddie Garcia, Route 22 Honda's General Manager had this to say about the dealership's effort: "Over the years it's been our pleasure to contribute to the community through traditional means. With the re-launch of our new Route 22 Honda Facebook page we wanted to include a more social approach to our community charity work through our Route 22 Honda Helps campaign. We're delighted we could help these worthwhile causes and look forward to helping others in the near future".
