The Honda Accord has been on the market for decades, and for good reason. But with so many updates, trims, and packages every year, keeping track of what's new can be challenging. If you're asking yourself which version of the 2025 Honda Accord is best for you, refer to this guide, which breaks down the key features, trims, and configurations to help you shop with confidence.

We'll cover the different powertrains and benefits of certain trims while also covering particular features you might feel are absolutely necessary as opposed to those you might like but could also do without. So, let's get started with one of the most important and most obvious topics…

Gas or Hybrid Powertrain

Choosing between a gas-powered Accord and the hybrid model might not seem like a big deal at first, but there are several factors you will need to consider. Thus, let's first talk about performance differences and fuel economy. The base gas-powered engine is a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that makes 192 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque. Regarding fuel economy, you will get as much as an EPA-estimated 29 MPG in the city and 37 MPG on the highway, for 32 MPG combined.[a]

The hybrid Accord consists of a 2.0-liter four-cylinder paired with an electric motor and battery pack. It produces 204 hp and 247 lb-ft of torque, and you will get as much as an EPA-estimated 51 MPG in the city and 44 MPG on the highway, for 48 MPG combined.[a] The hybrid models also come with a drive mode selector with Normal, Econ, Sport, and Individual modes.

It might look like the hybrid is an easy choice between the two, as you get more power and better fuel economy. However, you have to consider that hybrid Accords have a higher price of entry than the gas-only models. The tradeoff here is that the hybrid models cost more upfront but reward you with better fuel efficiency and a sportier drive. Another difference is in the wheel sizes. The gas models come with 17-inch wheels, while the hybrid models (with the exception of the EX-L Hybrid trim) all come with 19-inch wheels. So that's another consideration to make, depending on your aesthetic preferences.

Standard and Available Tech

While infotainment systems have become the norm across the auto industry, not everyone is buying cars for massive touchscreens and interactivity. Some drivers are fine with a functional infotainment system that offers basics for connectivity, telemetry, media, and navigation. The good part about the 2025 Accord is that you have two different sizes of touchscreen, depending on what you're looking for in your sedan.

While every trim comes standard with a 10.2-inch digital driver display, the LX and SE come standard with a seven-inch touchscreen and wired Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Every trim above the SE (all of which have the hybrid powertrain) comes standard with a 12.3-inch touchscreen. These higher trims also add a wireless charging pad, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Alexa Built-In for voice-activated system functionality.

Every trim has access to Bluetooth, Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity, and HondaLink's subscription services. So when it comes to the basics of connectivity, navigation, remote access, and roadside assistance, you're covered on every trim. One thing to keep in mind is that only the highest trim, the Touring Hybrid, comes with Google Built-In and HD Radio. So if you want all of the bells and whistles in regard to infotainment, you'll want to go with one of the hybrid trims. However, if all you want is basic functionality, accessibility, and connectivity, the LX and SE will give you everything you need out of the box.

Degrees of Cabin Comfort

Comfortable seating is essential, regardless of what you're using your car for. If you're doing daily errands and short trips around town, premium upholstery may not be a top priority, but if you spend a lot of time on the road, commuting long distances, or frequently traveling on the highway, then premium upholstery and finer comfort features will likely take a higher priority. When it comes to seating adjustments and material, you have various options with the 2025 Accord.

If all you need is a basic sedan with manual height adjustments for the driver's seat, the base LX trim comes with a manually-adjustable driver's seat with cloth upholstery. However, if you need more options, the SE and above all come standard with a heated ten-way power-adjustable driver's seat with two-way lumbar support. The EX-L Hybrid and above all come standard with two-position memory settings for the driver, which is useful if different people use your vehicle and you want your settings saved.

If leather upholstery is important to you, then know that the EX-L Hybrid and above all come standard with leather seats. Ventilated front seats are only available with the Touring Hybrid, however, so if you wanted this for being better acclimated to seasonal weather changes (heated seats for cold seasons, and ventilated seats for hot weather), it's something to keep in mind when shopping for a 2025 Accord.

Some Satisfying Extras

If small details make a big difference in your drive, the Accord's higher trims offer plenty of upgrades. Hybrid models add a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob. However, only the Touring Hybrid comes with a heated leather-wrapped steering wheel and a six-inch head-up display, which projects relevant drive data directly onto the lower windshield. So, while you'll pay more for the hybrid models, you'll also get more diverse convenience features.

If you would like your midsize sedan to embrace its sportier side, then you can have the 2025 Accord equipped with sport pedals, but this option is only available for the Sport Hybrid and Sport-L Hybrid. When it comes to cabin regulation, the LX has single-zone climate control, but the SE and every trim above it come standard with dual-zone climate control, which is more useful for carpools and family trips.

The Standard Safety Suite

Every 2025 Accord comes equipped with the Honda Sensing suite of advanced driver assistance features, so you don't have to worry about choosing trims based on safety tech. You have full passive and active safety features across the entire trim lineup, including driver alerts, driver awareness, collision mitigation, and warning systems. The two features that are exclusive to higher trims are the body-colored parking sensors (which are exclusive to the EX-L Hybrid and Touring Hybrid) and Low-Speed Braking Control (which is exclusive to the Touring Hybrid). Otherwise, the safety systems are identical across the board.
